FindMy uses your iPhone's Bluetooth antenna to scan for nearby devices. It measures signal strength (RSSI) to estimate distance and direction. The precision radar shows your proximity as a percentage — walk around and the reading changes in real-time, guiding you to your lost device like a hot-and-cold game.

If your headphones are turned off or out of battery, the app will show you their last known location on the map — where they were last connected to your phone. This helps you retrace your steps. Once you're close enough and the device is powered on, the radar and sound features will activate.

Bluetooth range typically extends up to 10-30 meters (30-100 feet) depending on the device and environment. However, using the map feature you can see the last known location from anywhere. Once you're within Bluetooth range, the precision radar activates to guide you to the exact spot.
