Find Your Lost Samsung Galaxy Buds with Bluetooth

Samsung's SmartThings Find network only locates Galaxy Buds when they're inside the case AND that case has been registered to a Samsung account on a nearby phone. Outside that narrow window, you need a generic Bluetooth scanner — which is what FindMy is. It reads the standard BLE advertisement that every Galaxy Buds model emits whenever an earbud is outside the case, regardless of whether you've ever signed into a Samsung account.

Galaxy Buds Pro 2 and Buds 3 Pro ship with the strongest antennas in the lineup — expect roughly 12 meters of indoor range. The original Buds Live and Buds + are weaker (around 6–8 meters indoors), so for those you'll want to start your search very close to the last known location. As with all true-wireless earbuds, a single bud sitting outside the case is detectable while a closed case is not.

The bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live deserve a special mention: their unusual shape makes them roll into tight gaps far more often than other earbuds. In our usage data, the most common spots are wedged against baseboards, between sofa frame and floor, inside shoes, and inside laundry hampers. Always check those four places first when the signal points to a specific room but you can't see the bud.
